Cliff Decatrel – CEO & Founder, Deca-Media Productions
Cliff Decatrel is an Oscar-winning film and television producer, development executive, and diversity advocate with over 30 years of experience in film, television, and digital content. As CEO & Founder of Deca-Media Productions, he leads a Los Angeles-based company focused on innovative, diverse, and socially impactful storytelling across media.
Previously, Cliff played a key role in producing award-winning projects, including the Oscar-winning 20 Days in Mariupol (2024), which also received a Peabody, Pulitzer, and Sundance Award. He also served as Associate Producer for the Emmy-winning Grand Knighthawk: Infiltrating the KKK (AP/ABC News Studios on Hulu) and spearheaded global co-productions at the Associated Press, where he also led the Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Team (EDITeam). His career includes senior roles at Sony Pictures Entertainment, Showtime, Time Warner and Cablevision Media Sales.
A champion of media leadership, mentorship and inclusion, Cliff serves on the board of HRTS Associates, advises NAMIC-SoCal, and leads the Mentor Committee for Colour Entertainment. In recognition of his contributions, he was honored with the Change-Makers Award by the Haitian Roundtable.
Originally from New York and now based in Los Angeles, Cliff holds a B.A. in Communication Arts and Sciences, Film & Television from Queens College, CUNY. Fluent in English, French, Creole, and conversational Spanish, he brings a global perspective to his work, pushing boundaries in media and shaping the future of entertainment through Deca-Media Productions.
