Bechir Sylvain

Béchir Sylvain will appear in the highly anticipated blockbuster “Jurassic World: Rebirth” as the character Leclerc. He is a versatile Haitian-American actor, writer, director, and producer, known for his role as ‘Glock’ in the third season of the Starz hit series “BMF” and as ‘Roman’ in the BET+ comedy mystery series “Diarra from Detroit.” Sylvain gained acclaim for his portrayal of ‘Braithwaite’ in Netflix’s “Black Summer.”

A lifetime member of The Actors Studio, he studied drama at Southern Methodist University and created the award-winning web series “Make It Happen.” Sylvain has showcased his talent on stages across the country, including Arizona Theater Company and Gablestage, earning a Best Ensemble NAACP Theater Award for his performance as Malcolm X in “The Meeting.” He also received the Best Actor Obie Award for his lead role as ‘Jay “The Sport” Jackson’ in Marco Ramirez’s “The Royale.”

His extensive television credits include guest appearances on “Blindspotting,” “CLAWS,” “S.W.A.T,” “This Is Us,” “Chicago P.D.,” “Better Call Saul,” and “Black-ish,” among others. He has featured in films like “A Haitian Wedding” and Hallmark’s “The Ultimate Life,” as well as supporting roles in “Holiday Hideaway” and “Life After Beth.”
